It’s the third anniversary of the BIPOC Family Childcare Collective (FCC)!
The collective is a safe space for family child care educators of diverse backgrounds, including educators who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who live in Boston and its neighboring towns.
Educators in the collective meet monthly in person and/or via Zoom. The group works together to identify issues that affect the work of its members; to advocate for programs, families, and community; and to seek funding opportunities to advance their work. Members support each other in creating and maintaining high-quality programs that are engaged in relatable, useful professional development opportunities that also prioritize self-care.
Congratulations to The BIPOC Family Childcare Collective’s members! They are:
• Gloria Valentin, Hyde Park, Mass. (Strategies for Children Advocacy Network alum, cohort 1)
