It has provided consistent leadership in the field from the language we use (“engagement” replacing “involvement”) to the measurement of outcomes and everything in between. It isn’t perfect and the regulations and documentation can be daunting, but by focusing on policies and systems, we have all been able to learn a lot about child development, family engagement, and much, much more while being in the forefront of a movement. Thanks to Eye on Early Ed for posting this.
